Troubleshooting in Injection Molding Molds Process to Help Production Grow



There are numerous problems that occur most commonly during the process of injection molding, in such situations troubleshooting has become prominent to ensure constant production of preform and mold components by any mold making company. Molded Parts can be burned or blistered in the condition of high temperature, which is sometimes caused by the length of the cycle time which may be too long. This causes the resin to overheat. Warping of parts happens when there is an uneven surface temperature for the molds. 

Brittleness:  It is a condition where molded part breaks or cracks and the material lost its expected properties. Usually it is caused due to the bad quality of the raw material and inaccurate amount of regrind. The suggestive troubleshooting steps for such kind of problem are increase the melting temperature, check material for contamination, decrease injection pressure and minimize back pressure. 

Black marks or burn marks: This considers black spots that appear in the molded part; most probably it is caused due to thermal damage. Such problems can be dealt by making sure the high – quality of the material, decrease the melting temperature. Some materials are prone to thermal degradation, thus it is recommended to use thermally stable materials.
